Exploring Ishima island in Tokushima prefecture Japan. We arrived on the other side from the port of Ishima. There is a huge wetland on this small island Ishima.The wetland on Ishima is designated as “500 Important Wetlands in Japan.”

On Ishima island in Tokushima pref., Mr. Isao Kawanishi, a fisherman and one of board members of Japan’s Remote Islands Development Organization, promotes Ishima by drawing its special local products such as fish and flowers on post cards. He has continued this work for 4 years and made about 800 cards.

On Ishima island in Tokushima pref., Mr. Isao Kawanishi, a fisherman and one of board members of Japan’s Remote Islands Development Organization, promotes Ishima by drawing its special local products such as fish and flowers on post cards. He has continued this work for 4 years and made about 800 cards. He sells these post cards for JPY 50 (USD 50 cents) as a souvenir of Ishima.
