A steller's sea eagle by Biwako Lake in Shiga Prefecture. Steller's sea eagles fly over to Shiretoko (Hokkaido) from the Kamchatka or Siberia in Russia every year and stay in Hokkaido area during the winter period. However, some eagles "travel" to the main island of Japan.
